2017 - 2022         CEO Giesecke + Devrient Mobile Security GmbH. Sales volume >1 Bn€, >5200 staff in >50 countries, >15 daughter companies. Restructured the business from significant neg. cash flow to three-digit M€ profit. Created global market leader in eSIM. Several acquisitions made.

 

2013 - 2016        Group Senior Group VP, Division Head Telecom Industry, Giesecke + Devrient, Division Head and MD 3S, Munich, Germany. Restructuring the business, strategy refinement, building SaaS capabilities from scratch.

 

2011 - 2012        CEO / CTO Funkwerk AG, Munich, Germany. Strategic portfolio realignment, refocus and development. Company portfolio clean up, divestment of 4 out of 14 companies, cash collection from disputed multi-million contracts.

 

2005 - 2010        President, CEO Ericsson GmbH, Ericsson Düsseldorf, Germany. Managing the integration of the acquired Marconi business and 1300 additional staff in 2006. Significant post-merger issue resolution and restructuring. Left the company with the best profits since years. 

 

2002 - 2005        Director Consulting, Central Europe, Atos Origin GmbH,
Build up Consulting and Systems Integration business for the Telco sector from scratch to the most profitable unit in only one year. Won the ~300 M€ E-plus outsourcing contract (lead solution architect). Took over 180 E-plus staff – managing the transfer and transition of the entire E-plus IT organization and assets.

 

2001 - 2002        Managing Director, Ericsson Consulting GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany. Service-sales 13 M€ per year (70 consultants). Restructuring the business to make it profitable. Managing up-stream merger with Ericsson GmbH.

 

1999 - 2001        Principal, Ericsson Consulting GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany.
Lead Consultant for Bid-book preparation for MobilCom’s UMTS entrance in Germany. Author of the UMTS Market Study (published in June 2000). Key - founding member of Ericsson Consulting with 4 other colleagues.
